Once again, Skyline’s Excel XT proves itself in the field.
Jeremy Jones, owner of Bluewing Blinds passed along these great pictures of his most recent success in the field. Of note is the fact that these birds were taken in different parts of the country, in different environments, while wearing the same pattern, Excel XT.
Jeremy had this to say about the hunts and the effectiveness of Excel XT: “For two totally different landscapes, Excel XT performed excellent. Neither bird even knew I was there. Both birds were killed without use of a decoy and looking hard to find the hen. When you go undetected at close range on a mature tom, well, it speaks for itself.“
Indeed! When you take into account the fact that one hunt took place in the sparse pines of South Carolina, and the other in the lush greenery of Indiana, you realize just how versatile Excel XT is.

Enthusiasm and hard work have paid off in a steady climb up the tournament ladder for Joe Thomas. This Cincinnati native received his first visibility as a tournament angler at the young age of 18 by winning the Ohio State B.A.S.S. Federation Championship in 1980. The years that followed led Joe from the pursuit of a Fisheries Biology degree to prominent status on both the B.A.S.S. and the Operation Bass Red-Man tournament trail. Joe's determination to be a champion has led him to the B.A.S.S. Top 50 ranks for the past 13 years, as well as qualifying for the prestigious Bass Masters Classic four times and the Red-Man All American Championship three times.
